dc.description.abstractO movimento de digitalização das relações humanas nas últimas décadas fez com que surgisse o termo cibercultura, caracterizado como a era da conexão, impulsionada pelo desenvolvimento da computação móvel e das novas Tecnologias Digitais da Informação e da Comunicação (TDIC). A sociedade da informação, derivada da cibercultura, tem como característica a absorção de novos meios de comunicação e de informação na medida em que as TDIC são desenvolvidas, impulsionando o crescimento de ambientes virtuais e das novas relações humanas. Dentre as novas relações humanas afetadas pelo desenvolvimento de novos ambientes virtuais, a educação, sobretudo a Educação a Distância (EaD), nos últimos anos vem apresentando um crescimento contínuo de matrículas de alunos e de cursos ofertados, inclusive os cursos EaD ofertados no CEFET-MG oferecidos por meio de um Ambiente Virtual de Aprendizagem (AVA) disponibilizado na internet. Nesse contexto, esta pesquisa teve como objetivo analisar, levando em consideração o advento da TV Digital (TVD) no Brasil, quais são as possibilidades e os desafios para a criação de um AVA voltado para a TVD, como forma de expandir os cursos a distância do CEFET-MG, realizando assim o t-learning. Para se alcançar esse objetivo, utilizou-se uma metodologia de investigação com natureza qualitativa, do tipo descritiva e exploratória, por meio de pesquisa bibliográfica e documental, sem a intenção de ser decisiva. A pesquisa foi realizada em cinco etapas: Na primeira etapa, sucedeu a apresentação das características do AVA que o CEFET-MG utiliza para ofertar seus cursos a distância via internet. Na segunda etapa, fezse o levantamento das ferramentas digitais para a aprendizagem que compõem o AVA do CEFET-MG. Em seguida, na terceira etapa, foram verificados os requisitos necessários para se estabelecer um caminho técnico para o desenvolvimento de um AVA para a TVD. Na quarta etapa, foi realizada a verificação da compatibilidade do AVA do CEFET-MG com os requisitos apresentados na etapa anterior, especificamente sobre as questões do requisito tecnológico por meio de modelos de desenvolvimento. Por fim, na quinta etapa, foi realizada a classificação dos níveis de interatividade das características funcionais das ferramentas apresentadas na segunda etapa para o ambiente da TVD. Os resultados encontrados permitiram concluir que existem diferentes requisitos e recursos disponíveis para implementar o t-learning na instituição, com destaque para os requisitos tecnológicos, sobretudo a camada de software do Sistema Brasileiro de TV Digital (SBTVD), o middleware Ginga, e para os recursos disponíveis para o desenvolvimento de aplicações para o ambiente da TVD na forma de ferramentas digitais para aprendizagem. Constatou-se também a necessidade de um provedor de serviços interativos que atue de forma multiplataforma, permitindo que recursos interativos sejam executados em ambientes que extrapolem o uso da internet. Salienta-se ainda que a falta de experiências em práticas pedagógicas quanto à utilização da TVD na educação, impossibilita uma conclusão sobre a efetividade do ensino e da aprendizagem condizentes com os parâmetros normativos da EaD e da Educação Profissional Tecnológica (EPT), que por sua vez se utilizam cada vez mais das TDIC em ambiente educacional.
dc.description.abstractotherThe digitalization movement of human relations in recent decades has given rise to the term cyberculture, characterized as the era of connection, driven by the development of mobile computing and the new Digital Information and Communication Technologies (TDIC). The information society, derived from cyberculture, is characterized by the absorption of new means of communication and information as the TDIC is developed, driving the growth of virtual environments and new human relationships. Among the new human relationships affected by the development of new virtual environments, education, especially Distance Education (EaD), has been showing a continuous growth in student enrollment and courses offered in recent years, including the online courses offered at CEFET- MG through a Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) available over the internet. In this context, this research aimed to analyze, taking into account the advent of Digital TV (TVD) in Brazil, what are the possibilities and challenges for the creation of an AVA for TVD, as a way to expand CEFET-MG distance courses, thus applying t-learning. To achieve this objective, it was used a methodology of qualitative research with a descriptive and exploratory nature, through bibliographic and documentary research, without the intention of being generalized. The research was carried out in five stages: in the first stage, there was a presentation of the characteristics of the AVA used by CEFET-MG to offer its distance courses via the internet. In the second stage, there was a survey of the digital learning tools that compose the CEFET-MG AVA. In the third stage, the necessary requirements to establish a technical path for the development of an AVA for TVD were verified. In the fourth stage, the CEFET-MG AVA compatibility check was carried out with the requirements presented in the 3rd stage, specifically on the questions of the technological requirement through development models. Finally, in the fifth stage, it was carried out the classification of levels of interactivity of the functional characteristics of the tools presented in the 2nd stage for the TVD environment. The results found allow us to conclude that there are several requirements and resources available to implement t-learning in the institution, with emphasis on the technological requirements, mainly a software layer of the Brazilian Digital TV System (SBTVD), the Ginga middleware, and for the available resources for the development of applications for the DTV environment in the form of digital learning tools. It is also necessary to have a provider of interactive services that support the multiplatform, allowing interactive resources to run in environments that go beyond the use of the Internet. It should also be noted that the lack of practical pedagogical experiences regarding the use of TVD in education makes it impossible to reach a conclusion about the effectiveness of teaching and learning in consistency with the normative parameters of Distance Education and Technological Professional Education (EPT), which increasingly use TDIC in the educational environment.
