dc.description.abstractNesta pesquisa investigam-se as representações de temáticas e elementos culturais indígenas presentes nos livros aprovados pelo PNLD Literário 2022 para a educação infantil. Além disso, busca-se traçar uma breve trajetória histórica dos conceitos de infância, educação infantil e literatura infantil, destacando importantes escritores, entre eles os indígenas. No estudo, parte-se da seguinte pergunta: de que forma a temática indígena está presente nas obras do PNLD Literário 2022 para a educação infantil? A partir dessa pergunta, outras se fazem necessárias: quais são as representações dos povos indígenas nas obras aprovadas pelo Programa? Entre os autores dos livros com essa temática, quantos são indígenas? Existem exemplares dessas obras em todos os acervos literários disponibilizados pelo Programa? Como as culturas indígenas são representadas por meio das ilustrações? A pesquisa tem como objetivos: discutir conceitos sobre infância, educação infantil e literatura indígena; identificar pontos fortes e limitações nas obras selecionadas, considerando texto e ilustrações; analisar as representações culturais indígenas nas resenhas; e investigar as autorias das obras, classificando os gêneros literários e discutindo os conceitos de literatura indígena, indigenista e indianista. Como fundamentação teórica são utilizados os estudos de: Ariès e Rousseau sobre infância; Lajolo e Zilberman sobre literatura infantil; Graúna e Thiél sobre literatura indígena. A metodologia inclui pesquisa bibliográfica e documental, com análise dos livros digitais selecionados, das resenhas disponibilizadas no site do Programa e do edital do PNLD 2022 para a educação infantil. Como considerações finais, destaca-se a escassez de obras com temática investigada no PNLD Literário 2022: das 596 obras aprovadas, apenas 8 foram identificadas com essa temática. Ressalta-se que nenhuma delas é de autoria indígena, seja no texto escrito ou nas ilustrações, sendo, dessa forma, caracterizadas como literaturas indianistas ou indigenistas. Em algumas obras a temática indígena é tratada de forma superficial, com imagens estereotipadas, com o uso do termo "índio" e com a ausência de uma abordagem sociocultural mais aprofundada. Os resultados da pesquisa apontam para a importância da reflexão sobre os critérios de seleção das obras de autoria e temática indígena do PNLD Literário, promovendo maior representatividade, diversidade e conexão com as realidades culturais e históricas dos povos originários.
dc.description.abstractotherThis study investigates the representation of indigenous themes and cultural elements in books approved by the PNLD Literário 2022 for early childhood education. Additionally, it aims to outline a brief historical trajectory of the concepts of childhood, early childhood education, and children's literature, highlighting prominent authors, including indigenous writers. The research is guided by the following primary question: how is the indigenous theme represented in the works included in the PNLD Literário 2022 for early childhood education? From this question, further inquiries arise: what are the representations of indigenous peoples in the works approved by the Program? Among the authors of these books, how many are indigenous? Are copies of these works available across all literary collections provided by the Program? How are indigenous cultures represented through illustrations? The study aims to: discuss theoretical concepts regarding childhood, early childhood education, and indigenous literature; identify the strengths and limitations of the selected works, considering both text and illustrations; analyze cultural representations of indigenous peoples in the book reviews; and investigate the authorship of the selected works, classifying literary genres and discussing the concepts of indigenous, indigenist, and Indianist literature. The theoretical framework draws on the works of Ariès and Rousseau on childhood, Lajolo and Zilberman on children's literature, and Graúna and Thiél on indigenous literature. The methodology includes bibliographic and documental research, with an analysis of selected digital books, reviews available on the Program's website, and the PNLD 2022 guidelines for early childhood education. The findings highlight the scarcity of works addressing the investigated theme in the PNLD Literário 2022: out of 596 approved works, only eight were identified as addressing indigenous themes. Notably, none of these works are authored by indigenous individuals, whether in text or illustrations, and are therefore characterized as Indianist or indigenist literature. In some cases, the indigenous theme is treated superficially, with stereotypical images, such as the use of the term "Indian," and a lack of deeper sociocultural approaches. The results underscore the importance of reflecting on the selection criteria for indigenous-themed and authored works in the PNLD Literário, advocating for greater representation, diversity, and alignment with the cultural and historical realities of indigenous peoples.
